What is Modal? Modal is the newest kid on the "eco-friendly fabrics" block. A worthy alternative to cotton, modal is made from parts of the Beech tree and is a long lasting, durable, breathable fabric. It also needs 10 times less water during production and is biodegradable (full marks from a grateful Mother earth). What sets Modal apart is how luxurious it feels on the skin- almost wrinkle free and satin smooth.
