Alifiya Maxi Dress is a floor-length halterneck dress in 100% cotton, made with kantha fabric: cotton run through with fine parallel hand-running stitch, which gives the cloth a soft ridged texture you can see in the weave and feel in the hand. It is hand block printed in an ikat-style motif, arrowheads and diamonds in undyed white against an indigo blue ground. The neck ties behind, leaving the shoulders bare, and there is a small keyhole opening below the knot at the front. The fit is regular and falls straight to the floor. The fabric does not stretch and the fit is not adjustable beyond the neck tie, so it fits exactly to the size chart: choose by your body measurements and size up if you prefer a looser line. Kantha cloth softens with every wash rather than wearing thin. Model is wearing a size XS and is 5 feet 6 inches tall.
