Phool is a short sleeveless kurti in 100% cotton, printed with large white floral and leaf shapes across a powder blue ground, drawn loose and open so the pattern feels sketched rather than stamped. It hangs from broad shoulder straps onto a squared front, and the back is cut deep and open with an adjustable tie you pull to your own fit. A concealed side zip gets you into it and side slits at the hem keep it easy over trousers. The cotton is soft, light and quick to dry, which is the point of a piece cut this short and this open. There is no lining, so the pale ground reads slightly sheer in strong sun. It works as a kurti over trousers or as a tunic on its own. Individually tailored by hand and finished ready to wear. The tie can be loosened as well as tightened, unlike a laced corset.
