The Luxe Black Tray is a flat ceramic serving tray in deep matte black with subtly raised edges that contain whatever sits on it. Two sizes available: small (thirty centimetres long, fifteen across, two tall) and medium (thirty by twenty-one by three). The matte black absorbs light evenly. White cups, gold rims, brass katoris, brightly coloured food all read sharper against it the way objects do against a slate base. The flat surface gives a stable platform for serving or display; the slightly raised rim catches small spills before they reach a surface underneath. The small tray is the size for serving a couple of cups and a small plate of biscuits, an appetiser portion for two, a snack station at a desk. The medium tray fits four cups, a serving plate of canapés, a charcuterie layout for a small gathering. Both work as console-table objects when not in use. A note on how it's made. Each tray is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand. Small variations in glaze depth and rim curve are part of how a handmade ceramic looks.
