The Baker's Delight set is three nesting ceramic trays in chalk-white speckled glaze, each a different size - small (fifteen by fifteen by three centimetres), medium (nineteen by nineteen by four), and large (twenty-two by twenty-two by five). The trays nest inside each other for storage and stack on a counter for serving.the chalk-white base is finished with fine speckles distributed across the surface. The speckles come from the glaze rather than from print, which gives each tray a slightly different distribution. The matte finish keeps the colour soft.the three sizes are built for layered service. The small holds a single dip, a portion of nuts, a small dessert. The medium fits a serving of cheese cubes, a ramekin layout, an appetiser portion. The large works for a charcuterie spread, a serving of cake slices, a centrepiece of small bites. Stacked together they create height on a table; spread out they cover a small spread.the trays are pie-dish-style - the slightly raised edge holds liquids and contains spills, which makes them work for baking and serving in the same piece. They go from oven to table without a transfer.a note on how it's made. Each tray is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand. The speckled effect comes from the firing process. Small variations in speckle distribution are part of the piece.
