by Gianella Mascarenhas

This season has seen the rise of covered-up silhouettes, creative layering and an occasional flash of the collarbone. The runways served models donned in high necklines and extended hemlines, and leggings or pants underneath skirts and dresses to provide more, if not complete coverage.
The first ever Hijabi model, Halima Aden is breaking fashion barriers with her “ more is more” sense of dressing on some of the biggest designer runways worldwide; from MaxMara, Yeezy to Alberta Ferreti.
