Also, even though most of us would love to invest in sustainable clothing as it benefits both the earth and our closet, sometimes it’s the price points that keep us from making the right choice. So, this summer sale, we reached out to our staffers and got them to share with us the sustainable styles they’re saving up on. Here’s what they picked…

I love a good maxi dress as I know I can make the most out of it – isn’t that what sustainability is about anyway? I can wear this piece in so many different ways to so many different places – over a while tee for a casual day out or with a long jacket atop for a more formal dress code. I can also wear it as is with only a bold belt and a straw hat for a day by the beach. And the fact that this multi-tasking piece is also sustainable makes it a must-have!”

I always wanted to shop from this label because they make use of such innovative fabrics such as banana fibres, milk fibres et al. I mean who knew you could craft clothes out of milk! And not just any clothing, but extremely stylish and well-built one. So, I’m taking the Summer Style Sale as a sign and adding this cute blouse to my cart. I love the colour and can already picture it going with most of my bottoms.”

What I love about this label the most is the fact that even though it’s a sustainable label, it doesn’t compromise on the style aspect – it houses some of the most avant-garde silhouettes such as this pair of trousers. My style is very maximalist and this pair of statement pants bodes well with it. Since the bottoms are so standout, I’m going to pair them with tops that are slightly subtle to balance my look.”

According to me, a classic leather bag in the blackest black never goes out of style. The reason this bag stands out to me is that it’s crafted out of upcycled leather making it an ethical buy and I’ve been making conscious efforts to make my closet a sustainable one – this is just what I needed. I can wear it as a cross body or a belt bag from AM to PM with most of my outfits – this one’s a keeper!”

I’m a sucker for minimal jewellery and I was so excited to find this piece of jewellery at a 15% markdown. I love the fact that it’s mindfully made and fully handcrafted – giving it a one-of-a-kind appeal. I’m going to wear this piece layered with the rest of my long and short chain necklaces to create a cool neck stack. Since its gilded, I know it will go with most of my neutral-hued outfits.”
